Feedback bashing

Well it certainly look to me like 20070924 never posted on the forum. If I search for him on the Literotica main site I also see he never posted any stories, modified his profile or even have favorites.

I don't think he joined to troll comments either. But it does showcase how easy it is to create a registered yet anonymous account if someone was feeling like it. What would you do if he did troll one of your story? Write him an angry letter? If he was a troll he would enjoy that...

No, the 0 posts mean they haven't submitted a story, not that that they haven't commented of posted a comment on the forum.

Why did 20070924 join? I would guess not because they wanted to write offensive public comments.

Conversely, if their registration is more than a month or so old and they have a 0 rating, it usually means they didn't come here to contribute stories to a story site, either. Seems logical there are a whole lot of unacknowledged alts lurking in there to be used in fun and games.

On the PC bashing, though, I think the most useful response is just to erase the PCs. This drives the basher mad and he/she eventually will almost always just fade away. They'll get a kick out of any response you try to make to them other than this. You, of course, can't do anything about their votes, Here, too, I think it would be better for voters to have to be logged on when they vote.

Requiring people to log in to vote is more useful, just to be really sure they only ever vote once per story, no playing around with ip or anything.

But, I always log off to browse stories, I don't like the idea of anyone being able to track my reading pattern. I only ever get to the end of a story if I like it, and so I only ever vote positively and anonymously.

Not to mention some people simply don't want to register, I didn't even see the need till I started writing. Not to mention some people feel the need to hide there time on here (not that I think there's really anything to be ashamed of)

I must agree--the Trolls are definitely breeding. I've been hit really hard by them in my Valentine entry for this year. caprine

Maybe trolls are not only bored outta their skulls, but don't really have an imagination. That's why they bomb the ones who do. Oooh! Someone write a story about the trolls! :D

I don't know if anyone else has, but SweetWitch wrote one that was quite humorous!

I read it every now and then to get a good laugh.

One ID per IP would help stop bashing.

Judging by some of the comments on this thread about the number of bashes received, I must hold the record for receiving the most bashes.

I've been here a bit more than a year and my 250th story will post this week. Already, I have deleted more than 2,000 public bashes and I lost count of how many mean and nasty e-mails I have received and deleted.

I receive at least 2 death threats a month (lol).

Now, I have no idea what it is about me, my name, my stories or whatever that attracts the bashers but they have done their best to drive me away. Only, it works the opposite with me, the more bashes I receive makes me write more stories.

I used to write for My Story Board on Voyeurweb until Igor shut it down. The reason why he shut it down was because too many people had multiple identities. Those with multiple identities felt that they could do whatever they wanted on the site. These people would argue with themselves, within their own identities to have other people take sides, one against the other. Many of those people came here. I recognize the same bad behavior and I see that happening here.

A way to stop some of this is to have only registered users able to post feedback. That would stop the anonymous shit. Yeah, sure people will register a name just to post some shit, but if Literotica allowed one ID to each IP address, that would help. Of course, those who have a router can circumvent that by having an endless amount of IP addresses, but it would stop 90%.

I love the idea of this site. I appreciate having the opportunity to write, post, and receive feedback for my stories. Those of you who know me, know that I have never bashed any of your stories (and I hope you haven't bashed any of mine, lol) and that I always try and give helpful feedback. Never have I given anyone less than a score of 4, generally 5's, always.

I know how difficult it is to write a story. I know what it's like to pour out your heart and have someone trash your hard work. It's so wrong in so many different ways.

Maybe, there is a way for Literotica to be more involved in policing their site.

I had my first story accepted. The feedback has been for the most part postiive and thanks to all those ppl:)

There was one huge exception. They commented I was typical... ok fine I can accept that. What makes no sense is that they went on a political rant. I had absolutely no mention of politics in my story. So what gives???? And they left the comment anonymously too. I have decided not to delete the negative comment. LOL it's actually pretty funny.

Lessons Learned

I have not been writing for long, but I have been bashed a lot. If the basher has something constructive to say about a story, I'll leave it in. If they just say, "You're an asshole," or something similar, I delete it because it doesn't help me to be better. I read all comments and all e-mails. I even reply to some e-mails. Occassionally I will go back and edit a story if I have made a glaring error. However, if somebody doesn't like an 11" cock or can't figure out that bird hunting is done with a shotgun, I may leave the comment but ignore it. I have finally figured out that the only one I really have to please is me.

This is exactly what I do. There was an email I got recently from someone that had the temerity to say I was "too old" to be on the site, and to "leave the stories to younger girls!" I actually broke out laughing and thought "Wow, there's an age limit now?" Of course, it went to the delete pile shortly after; those kinds of losers don't even deserve my time, especially when there are 99 other emails that either offer constructive suggestions or say how much they enjoyed particular stories. I even go over the comments and leave in anything constructive. The idiotic/trollish ones are automatically erased...they help no one and are probably jealous people anyway. Such is life.;)
