No, ellynei, sorry if I missed your post but don't feel inhibited. Post a story, start a thread that says, 'Hey guys, have a look at this and tell me what you think' and you should get a good reaction.

The sadness in all this is that scouries, once again, is trying to frighten off newbie writers who get - generally - a pretty good reception here. I just read a TK review that was fantastic - and the author was pleased.

Jim, if you can't be bothered to give a bit of positive assistance to writers who ask, you have no right to criticize those that try. We're not better writers than you neccessarily - just better human beings.

Well actually I was referring to the tendency of society to place higher priority on learning in general manners than learning writing skill, thus making the statement that you don't need manners because of your ability to write mildly humorous.

Perhaps I should have known other people wouldn't find that funny.
