First album you bought

Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon and Steely Dan Aja

First CD was Steely Dan - A Decade of Steely Dan

First iTunes was Steely Dan - Hey 19

AC/DC - Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap on Vinyl. I have no idea how my parents were cool with that. LOL

First album by The Doors. It was a game changer. Technically not my first one but the first that had any lasting significance.

I sort of "inherited" a lot of vinyl and CDs so I had a lot of stuff already...but the first CD I bought on my own was Weezer's Make Believe. I gave it away later.

Britney Spears's Baby One More Time. I still own it and its in really good condition.

First cassette: Europe, The Final Countdown

First vinyl (45): Purple Overdose, You Lose it/Old view

First vinyl (33 1/3): Jefferson Airplane, 2400 Fulton Street

First CD: Heart Throbs, Cleopatra Grip, and Inspiral Carpets, The Beast Inside

The first I ever bought was a cassette tape. Ace of Base. I remember how excited I was! My first CD was either Bush or Alanis Morrisette. (Yes, I was a 90s alternative child haha)

back in the day we started with 45's singles. My first was "The Lion Sleeps Tonight" by the Tokens (Tellstar was the B side)
I do admit my age in my profile LOL

I bought Deep Purple's Machine Head and Pink Floyd Dark Side of the Moon my first trip to the record store. I didn't even have a record player, I kept them and a friend's house.

i remember being bought the top of the pops compilations as my 1st albums but my 1st paid for 'proper' album was staus quo - on the level

Billy Joel's Greatest Hits Volume I & II. Been trying to catch him a Wrigley Field for the past 3 years. Maybe 4 will be the charm.

First one I bought was Metallica's Master of Puppets.

My cousin had introduced me to heavy metal and that blew the doors
off the little bit of pop music I knew from being a kid in the later 80s and early 90s.

I never got into modern heavy metal, and am more into classic rock from the late 60s through the mid 80s nowadays.

David Bowie - Space Oddity

Bought it on the strength of the title track, and was blown away by the feeling that it was far from the best track on the album

I bought a lot of 45rpms first...but the first actual album I bought was the first DOORS album
