Very interesting. The more I think about it and based on my experiences, wearing a friend's or spouses panties and weaing you own are almost two individual situations, although related. I think most male panty wearers started out with "borrowed" panties ;) Some progress onto buying their own. For me, although I have my own, still find it highly pleasurable, sometimes even more erotic to wear a friend's panties. There is something about the taboo nature of wearing her intimate things, combined with thinking about what her thoughts are as she picks out an puts on that particular pair on a given day. I have not quite gotten to the point where I can walk into a store and say help me pick some out for myself and I have not asked or alluded to wanting to try them on...maybe someday. But I still love the shopping experience and wearing what I picked out, but I still sometimes get more of a thrill wearing a friend's.

You'll love it once you take that step. My sissies have raved about shopping where they take the salesgirls into their confidence. The ladies are always polite (a sale is a sale) and sometimes you luck out with one who is curious and shows more enthusiasm. The young salesgirls have probably faced the situation less often than the older ones. Getting a woman to help you pick out the color that would look best on you, or sexiest on you. Another variation my sissies liked was asking what HER favorite style or color was and then getting that.

Most of the time, you'll be okay asking to use a dressing room, just not for panties. You can try on skirts and dresses or more elaborate lingerie like corsets, bustiers, baby dolls, etc. without a worry, just not panties (we ladies don't try them on there either).

I know that, and I would not ask to try them on...unless the sales lady was aware and made the offer first. But I do find it kind of fun to allude to the fact that they are for me when discussing size with the sales ladies. Many people have suggested Cacique as having very understanding sales ladies, but I am smaller and generally do not anything as large as even their small.

And I don't really dress aside from wearing panties, so I won't be shopping around for skirts and such.
 
Next time I go shopping I am now determined to try on a skirt. Hopefully in the next week or two. I need to really anyway :) Some 12's are perfect for me, but sometimes I need larger... and I hate having to return things (though I always have when needed).
