I love wearing panties whenever I can, I've a small collection, but I've got this gorgeous pair of pink satin type finish panties, with small 'bows' on them, and its real hard wearing those without getting hard.. I go in for sockings too sometimes as I just love the feel.. but maybe that should be a differnt thread..

I'm 100% straight, the wife doesn't approve after I tried it once under a pair of trousers on the couch - embarassing and I promised her not to do it again, yet couldn't help myself. I love stockings and suspenders, with matching colour panties, and a subtle bra - I have two to choose from - a black and white that can't be seen to easily over a shirt and tie, but usually wear a tank top over the top on 'internet' advice. So from that, you can judge that I do go out in a full set, but again, on 'net' advice, I wear a pair of baggy boxers to cover any straplines - although I didn't when I first started, and never considered what might be visible!
I'm not into the full cross dress, and would never do that, nor would I wear soiled items from the wash basket - not into that either, and I wouldn't 'j/o' (as someone put it) into any.
I just love the feel and look of a full set on my body and like to try co-ordinated sets - nothing trashy and mixed up. It's got to be all one colour, although I will wear black stockings with a white suspender belt, or black with red, but not a mish-mash of colours.
It's a secret fetish, one I've kind of given in to, and getting more into and can't help it at every spare secret moment, but sometimes I'll get into a long period without dressing up - well I used to! Apart from new pairs of stockings, I haven't got my own secret stash - it's all hers and its carefully put back when dressing down and quietly laundered when an opportunity arises.
The wife has the gear, but doesn't wear it apart from the very rare occasion or when she puts a 'slip' on for bed. I buy for her, but think about how it will look on me and look forward to opportunities to try something new.
Exploration around the net for new stuff is a long job sometimes to find something I / she would like, but I am strangely drawn to 'deep' set suspender belts which seem to cosset the body even more, although I do tend to like something more lacy and slight. Don't think I'll get around to trying them.
Having said that, I have found the odd basque or body with back fasteners or crotch poppers before, and have only rarely worn the latter to work. I'm definitely more a stockings and suspenders man.

I love wearing panties, they just feel soooo much better than mens underwear. Wear them to work all the time. Occassionaly I will wear a bra also, but never to work. My wife has voiced her strong disapproval when she caught me one time. So I have to do it secretly.

The hardest thing I find is getting hold of new panties, suspender belts etc., as I'm never really sure what size I am in 'female sizing', and I'm totally too shy to ever go into the shop isself, even under a pretence of buying for someone else... Pity though I woudl love to buy a whole host more panties now, and maybe even somethign like a basque or bra or corset.. I think by the time I get to those I'd need to have a pretty accurate idea of sizes and how they related...

It is a pitty. The rush of shopping is half the fun. If it's under the pretense of buying for someone else, there is always that rush of wondering if the salesperson suspects you are lying. Of course if its around Christmas or Valentines Day, there is little to no suspicion on their part, so that is a good time to do your shopping if you are that shy. Once you get more comfortable with it, you can start shopping at other times of the year when there could be some suspicion on their part. When the saleswoman at Victorias Secret approaches and asks if she can help or asks "what are you looking for today, we have these new bras and we have matching panties" it can be exciting to say something like "I was really only looking for panties, I don't think I'll be needing a bra today" Just enough to leave that doubt in her mind as to who the purchase is for.
On the other hand, if you let the salesperson in on it from the start, it is a whole different rush.

Oh lord, I'd love to be able to do that... I really do think I'd just be too shy though... maybe somethign I could try next time I'm visiting a differnt/larger city maybe when I@m in London, as that might not be so bad... But bad enough to create that edge to buying them... ACtually I'd kinda love just to walk into a high street mainstream woman's clothign store and get a member of staff, and make it quite clear that I was buying fo myself... Though I'd be very scared I'd bottle out... so I nomrlaly just buy online and have to guess at things like sizes... which can be hit and miss...

I have had mixed results buying in stores. I tried VS and they flat out refused to let me try on a couple bras, even though it was a Tuesday morning, and I was the only customer in the store. Another time went to Frederick's to shop. I went in and said I was looking... after a while I asked if they had corsets, and the sales lady showed me a bunch. As we talked I mentioned that an old gf had always wanted me to dress up for her. The lady replied that she had several regular customers that were guys buying for themselves. I took a chance and asked her if she would guess my size, so I could by a bra or two and a corset. She did one better.
She led me to the fitting rooms and asked me if I would take off my shirt. I did and she whipped out a measuring tape. She measured me and brought in numerous styles. I think I spent like 5 or 6 hundred that day.
