The Congress has rules. These rules are well established. Break the rules and consequences follow. It doesn't matter if you agree with what causes the break, the break is more important when it comes to the rules.
Because without rules, we have anarchy.
She WAS warned. She didn't HAVE to do what she did. WHY she did it is irrelevant to the fact that she disobeyed the rules.
Would your master allow you to do that? Wouldn't you expect him to discipline you for it if you so blatantly disobeyed? Why is Congresswoman Warren more privileged than you are?

C'mon Far. I never said he was her master. I used that as an illustration and you know it.
Warren doesn't get special privileges. She can disagree with the nomination. She can try to persuade her colleagues. She can even hold her breath and stamp her feet until she turns blue.
What she can't do is break the rules. Especially after being warned about it once already.
I actually think Sessions was a poor choice. He's old and well immersed in the DC swamp. He will probably be ineffectual as head of the DOJ. His nomination was quid pro quo for supporting Trump early. No more, no less.
That doesn't mean I support lawlessness on the part of Warren.

Not to put too fine a point on things, but where was this rule when Ted Cruz accused Mitch McConnell of lying to the Senate during a speech Cruz gave from the Senate floor? And if it was breaking the rules last night when Senator Warren attempted to read the letter from Mrs. King, why have four male senators been allowed to read the same text into the record today? Far seems quite right to note the odor of misogyny seeping out from McConnell's crepuscular carcass.
