I grew up on the South Coast of the UK, and was a paddler (kayaks) in my teens & 20s.

It was kind of a party scene there, sometimes I ran into girls I knew.
 
Another spot I went sometimes was this place near Wilshire and Crenshaw, just west of K-Town. There was a girl I knew who met guys there a lot. She'd call me if a guy wanted two girls.
