Goin Stir Crazy!

I have been thinking about the transitions from settled life to nomadic life. Some societies such as Romany never stopped wandering, so others may want to join their tribes, or emulate their solutions and traditions. Waves of refugees will be crossing most of the world's borders for centuries due to climate change, wars, etc. In the US, many workers now live in their vehicles to avoid high rents or long commutes and for widely dispersed gig locations. Freegrazing may replace settled farms and ranches on the plains. Those transitions would be many lifestyle changes, especially in meeting partners.

One example is finding partners outside the tribe/clan/travel group for genetic diversity, maybe at an annual gathering of several groups, when singles may have a day to choose.

A coup evicted the leader of some nation, who leaves with a group of loyalists. They march and camp, and the leader sustains troop morale by fucking them. A convenient title is available if there are seven loyalists and they're all short.

A squad of soldiers arrive at their post near a small town. The base commander tells them "A local feud has been going for a while. If you pick a side you're on it for life. One side owns the bar and the other owns the brothel. Choose carefully."

Sweetp I will miss you more than words can tell. It was a great joy and privilege to write with you. You were both sensual and erotic in your writing. The best wish for you in what ever you do away from Lit.

I just stumbled on this. I've been gone for a long time.

Sweet, I hope you check this and reach out. This place is hard to come back to now that you're not kicking around.

<3 I am in Discord now, send me a PM and i will send you my ID if you'd like to catch up and chat? I am around, Light. Friends welcome to IM too

Cg, you honor me with such kind words, thank you! Lit will always feel like home, no matter the time away and it is good to see familiar faces still lurking about these white pages.

Dear V, is there any other way of being? Well.. An acceptable way of being, other than sexy? ;) Life would be far too dull. I am quite glad to hear this news (about the RP'ing thing) I should get a thank you card or something, I think? I mean, Lit is very lucky to have such a talented mind, scribbling thoughts down here with the rest of .. well, them (yes! I'm a quitter! lol). I count myself quite fortunate to have had the privilege as well sir, your mind is quite the addiction and fun <3

I miss you all and I do miss the endless creativity and delightful friendships/co-writers I met here over the years. I will hopefully peek back before another two years passes (can not believe it has been that long since I was here) Be safe everyone

So baby steps taken, dusted off once again. I am sadly addicted to this damned place it seems. I just can't seem to stay away. I have ideas in my head but limited use of these fingertips, so I am dipping in the toe once more. So far, so good *knocks on wood* Have a few great stories going but there is this nagging little devil woman lounging on my shoulder wanting me to be supremely bad, just pokin' away at me. A sharp little jab more than a nudge. Trouble is... What the hell can I possibly write I've not already written 10 times over?

Write something better. Correct your 'mistakes' from an earlier story. Change the setting. Change the POV the story is told from and make it a different story from that perspective. Write a new story where you tell it from different perspectives.

Write it shorter. Condense the story down to the absolute minimum.

Change it up. I enjoy writing non-consent stories where it turns out the victim wasn't. Which is nothing new, but it's fun.

Maybe try a challenge like writing choose your own adventure/outcome (CHOO) so your audience chooses what comes next and you have to adapt to that. You can even dress that up as power play. E.G. How do Mistresses and Masters wish this writer to proceed with the next chapter of the story?

If you want story ideas I'll share a few you can use:
-Woman in a hyper-realistic massively online game wants a worg riding beast. So she infiltrates a goblin lair by letting them capture her, seduces the worg, and escapes to terrorize the countryside with her new partner.
-Woman gets invited to download an app that rewards her for doing various things. It builds to a climax.
-Every night a woman goes to sleep and a co-worker appears in her dreams. He saves her from monsters. Romances her with dream dates. Takes her roughly in the office. And then, one day, she discovers he's having the same dreams.
-A brilliant medical student dies and then awakes. She has been brought back to life by a secretive professor who wants a lab assistant and sex toy. She can't leave him and the elixir he makes which keeps her alive. But he's coming to respect her genius as the memories of her murder start to come back. I see steampunk but whatever setting floats your boat will work.
-A woman walks into a lab and signs a release to have her brain scanned by a new process for a college study. She'll get $150 for an hour of being sedated. She wakes up alone in the room and a man tells her she died two hundred years ago and everything she's seeing is because she's in a computer simulation. Is he telling the truth? What happens next?

Sweetp try a twist in the plot, take a sharp right or left turn in the story. It can breathe both life and interest in the story. Of course, you should give your writing partner a heads up. That and I find, but often overlook, that a good story has a beginning, where you set the plot. A middle, where you develop the story and perhaps as through in a twist or two. And an end where you wrap the story up.

Yes I know I am preaching to the choir. Best Luck Sweetp and yes I am still around but it seems I am a bit out of favor.

I'm trying to get a thread going based off of the anime Sword Art Online. You are real people playing a virtual game, but because of a sabotage, if you die in the game you die for real. In the anime they were trapped in there for 2 years, but the time would of course be up to me and my partner, as is how much time we spend on things like skills, farming, training, etc.

Hey Guys :) good to see you both. I forgot to update this, so busy lately. I took up another story, which i am behind in! lol so i found entertainment to escape adulting from time to time. I see you both keep active, hope life is treating you well?

:heart::rose:

Thanks, Sweetp. Good to see you here and best luck in your writing.
