Agreed mate about two rings and the pinching possibility. That's one reason why when I have two, one is silicone rather than steel or aluminium.

But then, as you've seen, I'm almost totally a whole-junk-through guy, not just on my shaft or just on my balls.

Might your 45mm have been a tad too tight? even two mm more of inner diameter makes a huge difference to comfort. What about the 'edges' of it: were they carefully rounded? or a bit on the sharp side?

I could get it on with just a bit of wrestling and it didn't strangulate anything important so I am not immediately suspicious of the size. It didn't feel tight when walking and wearing it. In fact, I was just now looking for something more narrow [ring width] but with a 42.5 mm ID. I will keep your thoughts in mind.

Here is my journey.
In reading this thread, I became interested in steel rings.
To start, I took the advice of an earlier poster and went to Home Depot to find the stainless steel rings he mentioned. A set of two, each about a quarter inch in thickness with an inside diameter of 2 inches.

With delicate authority, I coaxed my boys thru and worked a very soft tool through the ring. I was home. I liked the forward feel of my package.
I only kept it on a couple of hours.
Later in the week, I tried both rings and extended to time on. I eventually wore them to work. Having become comfortable with extended wear, I thought I'd add more ring. Another trip to Home Depot. The third ring is my comfortable max. I ocasionally wear all four. That gives just shy of 1 inch of steel and some weight.
I've done what Simon has and used a length of material to support the rings up.
A waist band, if you will, the passes thru the rings holds the whole package higher.

My next move will be a solid steel ring.
This was a very cheap way to try a cock ring. I think a 1 3/4 diameter might be next.

Do have in mind that the quality providers of steel rings reckon 2" down to 1.3/4" is two sizes down, and they all provide a 1.7/8" as well. My experience is that they are right to do that; 2" doesn't do the magic for me so effectively, but 1.3/4 is too tight. It may be that just one step tighter for you is perfect?

Just for the record: Glad you enjoy the hold-up of a waist band. Yeah I played around with that but it turns out it's not a thing for me and I discontinued.

I find if I get them in while it's only March, I get MEGA HUGE ones come the autumn! So, yeah!

This far North, soil warm enough for the seeds in March is a real bonus in fact. They just die in the ground if you put them in when it's still winter-cold, and ... if you try them in seed-trays and transplant they grown bent and wonky!

With the shallow 'curve in' pressing down on the top of the base of my shaft ... well that's a trial still to complete. I do know that for me an ellipse is a better erection enhancer than a circle, and I want to find out if this 'ellipse-plus-pressure-at-a-critical-point' enhances this still more, when I'm busy with my woman.

based on older plastic or rubber rings, the ellipse defnitely fits the bill better.

also based on those, i think you want the bulge in on the bottom, where it pressures the big vein...
