Snoops is, of course, correct to not translate what a given character says. If I wanted it in English, then the most he would do is ask me whether Becky brutilizes the language she speaks or not. Spike of Buffy, the Vampire Slayer, for example, was a US actor faking an English accent who always said "ass" over "arse".

And yes, it was Becky's intention to portray Derrick as being more than friends with his "asshole boyfriends." That's what sisters are for, no?
