Any poem that has a LOON in it has to be good! Likewise, any person that writes a poem with a loon in it has to be cool also. (note: I really like Loons) Nice to read your poems.

Breath

air swirled
a downy gasp
sharp ricochet
in morning mist
over the lake
where loons call
echoing silence

swoon just before
full sunrise
dusk obscured white
a mating call
a yearning

a wondering
if the next
breath will be
as momentary as this
and eyes open

a fluttered wisp
of lash
wings slapping still water
the sun yawns bright
taking a second breath.
