Wow! Angeline has written a haiku! (is this the first one by you?), and it's a real haiku, and very original.
Word winding is great here, it invokes the feeling of wind. It connects the summer with the coming fall. The appearance of summer in this haiku is truly poetic, it's not just a formal requirement to be fulfilled. The whole poem is very sensual.
Some authors and critics claim that haiku must be exclusively here and then--this is a harmfully simplistic view. Angeline's haiku has its "here and then" at its best, but it also provides distance and a large time/space frame.
