It was kind of a bad chart because they used really tall heels but the differences in geographical areas was a very modest difference.

That being said. A 2 inch heel is what I would call a "kitten heel" or something you would see almost every lady wearing at a wedding, or in an office.

A 3 inch heel is a heel that a lady would wear to church or a noticeable lady at an office.

A 4 inch heel a lady might also wear to church, but it would be noticeable. Not outlandish, just, "she is wearing some pretty high heels". The same thing for work. Not outlandish, but on the upper side of what you would see. If you are going out with your wife, she would wear something in this range. I tend to buy 3-1/2 inch heels for my wife so they are church, and date-night shoes.

A 5 inch high heel is something strippers and woman of the night wear. They are pretty tall.

A 6 inch inch heel is something my wife wears only in the bedroom. Its just too much for her to wear anywhere of purpose...and she lives in high heels.

Some might differ on their opinion of that, but that is a general breakdown.

Christian Louboutin “So Kates are 4.72 inches, but like most designer heels are listed by mm. The So Kates, Pigalle Follies are 120 mm, as are the Jimmy Choo “Anouks”. A 10mm heel is 3.9 inches high. The heel height is usually measured using a Euro size 38 shoe. To keep the profile and pitch of any design, the heel height will increase with the size and decrease with a smaller size. For instance the heel height of a Euro size 38 may be 120 mm while the same model may be actually 125 mm in a size 41 and 117mm

in a 32.
BTW: a heel is measured from the floor vertically to the point it joins the shoe at the front of the heel, NOT the back. If this standard is not followed there might be great discrepancy between the two measurements.

Curiously, the height of the heel does not increase the height of the wearer the same amount. A 4 inch heel may only increase standing height by 2.7 inches. You can prove this by actually measuring, or by using the Pythagorean Theorem.
