Holiday Gay

Beautiful beautiful album... love her hair - all of it!

For a more classical approach:

Tapestry of Carols: Maddy Prior (In dulci jubilo is breathtaking...)
and
The Elegance of Pachelbel. That specific album has me mesmerized every time.

Yes, Maddy Prior is fantastic. I'd forgotten about her. I will definitely look for this album. Thanks for your recommendations. :)

I just bought this CD and it's really beautiful. Of course anything Windham Hill releases is always great. This is their new one 2005 Holiday CD.

Baked some Holiday puff fritters (bunuelos) over the weekend. A Latin American dessert treat traditionally served during Christmas and The New Year.

BUNUELOS (CINNAMON CRISPIES)

3 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
Sugar and cinnamon mixture
2/3 c. milk
4 tbsp. butter
2 beaten eggs

Heat milk and butter until melted. Cool mixture, then add beaten eggs. Sift dry ingredients. Add to creamed mixture. Knead until smooth. Roll into little balls and roll out like tortillas, stretching out as thin as possible. Deep fry. Drain on paper towels and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar mixture.

Do you have a final Christmas Wish?

I for one wish for higher pay!
But in a more serious tone, I wish our troops come home.

I agree with you, except, unfortunately, a lot of gay people are estranged from their familes because they are gay.

Yep...for those of us with kids and ex spouses you would be with other than the fact that you're gay....it's a fucked up time of the year. If I could wipe that period from my year I woul do it in a second.

I guess we all have our holiday woes and blues. The idea is to wipe out those parts of our lives but not those parts of the year. I know it's easy to say, but I think it's much harder to continue suffering them. You're never going to please everyone anyway, so why not opt for the fun part? Might as well.
