How did you choose your user name?

Not quite sure how this name came to be....just wanted something that said who/what I was. It just popped in my head and it stuck.

Xander....my godsons middle name is Xander...spelled exactly like that. Koby Xander. His brother couldn't say Alexander, so we shortened it.

DeLaine Somers was going to be my pen name if I ever got around to getting my romance novel published. My real name begins with a D too, but it's not quite as exotic as DeLaine.

Of course now if my novel does get published, I'll have to come up with something different....

Mine is just a simple reference to the number three...
I chose it for two reasons - a)three's position as a holy number in a whole lotta cultures, and b)well, er, I thought it sounded kinda cool. Plus I've never seen anyone else use it, and originality counts for a lot in my books.

My name is the first two letters of "None Of The Above" Every name that I choose was taken and "None Of The Above" kind of inspired me. Sounds kind of Finnish or Swedish I think. I am going to do a search to see what turns up.

BlueFlamingo, I spent most of my life depressed with no benefit from medication. Finally I under went a sleep study and was diagnosed with sleep apnea. Now I sleep with a machine and feel a lot better than I ever did. I suggest you do a internet search for sleep apnea and depression and read about it. There is lots of info out there. No need to go through life feeling that way, Good Luck.

I got my user name from a commercial on tv. I think it is for
degree deodorant. When this woman is saying that she is a serving
wench in a themed restaurant. This made me snort with laughter as
to what a thing that is to be called. And my DH laughed and said
I would never be referred to as a serving wench but a............

LUSTYWENCH !!!

;-)

I decided on flagg because I love the Lord of the Rings series. Problem is though - there aint a flagg in the Lord of the Rings so that just makes me an idiot. Incidentally, there is currently a trilogy being made of the book. They say it will gross more than star wars. Go take a look at the Lord of the rings website and tell me what it's like cos my computer is too archaic to let me in.

Crystal - for crystal clear I guess. (WTF doea that mean they ask)

$%^*( - This is my most recent creation. He is a young chap who comes from Turkey and has an unhealthy passion for poultry. He wants to be famous and so took Prince's lead in being a squiggle.

Firesprite

I was doing searches for creatures of myth and legend because I am working on creating a new website based on the history and lore surrounding all sorts of different beings. During my search I came across the Elementals.. I had heard of Sprites and there seemed to be some sort for each element. Water sprite or Undine, A sprite of the Earth (gnome) and so on.. I have searched and found the firesprite to be very elusive.. so far all the internet has tried to tell me about them is that they may have been inspired by salamanders (of all things!).. so it was a combination of lack of information and in my horoscope, I am a Fire sign.

So I became the Firesprite (although in one thread I seem to remember becoming a water sprite/Siren. (one of several sea nymphs, part woman and part bird, who lure mariners to destruction by their seductive singing))

I had just finished reading a great book about the Enigma cypher-code machines of World War II called "Enigma" (good title for it, huh), and I remember my father always saying that he could never "figure me out". So it just seemed appropriate.

The 777 I just threw on the end for shits and giggles.

Munching Mike is/was a cartoon character used to teach children about the alphabet when I was little. My real name is Mark, so a blending of the two sounded appropriate. I'm not going to say how.

And you all thought it was because I like Munich.

;) Uhhhmmm .. and what is wrong with liking Munich??
*lol* and NO, I am not living there

I got my name, Rand al'Thor, from a fantasy book series called "The Wheel of Time" by Robert Jordan. Its probably the second best fantasy series ever written (and its still not finished yet).

Flagg-- Got to love the Lord of the Rings... I thought you got your name from Stephen King's books. He uses Randall Flagg or just Flagg in some of his books.

*ROGER: my first name
*SIMIAN: I had a premonition 5 years ago that in the year 2000 AD a gun-wielding, fire-water-drinking bible enthusiast would depict me as a gigantic monkey-man with a panty-fetish in a short series of satirical erotic adventures on a site called "Titerotica". (Sometimes I get the letters wrong - just like Nostradamus.)

*RACHEL: name of the main character in a novel I've been trying to write for about 12 years.
*PICABIA: one of the Dadaists - a bunch of weirdo artists & writers who liked stirring up shit at the start of the 20th century.

(Tristan Tzara and Hugo Ball were the koolest Dadaists but I liked the name Picabia - maybe 'cause it rhymes with Labia.)

Rog,

Interesting... and all this time I thought your name just meant that you liked to fuck monkeys.

Oh, wait... it's chickens. My apologies.

Yes, Oliver. I originally planned to call myself Roger Poultry but my Dad said it was too similar to that singer out of The Who and that I might get sued.

This is easy. I got blue eyes. Big blue eyes. I used to go by the handle babyblue on a bbs years ago, so I changed it somewhat to ...Beebeeblue.

Lol, well it's kind of a weird story.. But all of you austin powers fans? Read on! My 3 best friends and I were talking about how Powers calls the "italian bird" a community bicycle (everyone's had a ride!) and we thought at the time it would be funny to have our own vehicle. I happened to be dubbed Jumbo Jet and since that movie came out, that has been my nickname. Oh yea, the other three were amtrak, bicycle (original), and coach bus... i know, very immature, but funny at the time!

Simple, really. I'm a girl and I'm ticklish. :)

Two months ago I joined an online club for people who like tickling, and since then I've been doing a lot of tickle role-playing through IM. I guess the role-playing was uppermost in my mind when I stumbled across this message board. "Ticklish Girl" seemed to be a perfect fit for me. And now you know...the rest of the story! :)

I have nothing against the city of Munich, before I get banned from the place. Although they did send us the world's most stupid exchange student. It may be that they have something against me. (Damn. Anyone know a smilie that raises an eyebrow in a remotely quizzical way?)
And I cannot type.

"Otzchiim" is a term I found in a book called "A Dictionary of Esoteric Words" and refers to the filing system, in Tibetan occultism, of the records of everything that has ever been said or done.
I compulsively gather odd bits of information, so the term stuck with me.

Flagg, do you mean to tell me YOU started that "Poultry" thread on the "Story Idea" forum about fucking chickens? Oh my, you White Island pussies are such sick puppies.

BTW, Flagg, I bet your smart transvestite ass never thought anybody could do a story about fucking chickens, 'eh? Call it American ingenuity.

My fav user name I have seen on these board is Zeke. Now, there is a name which reflects uncommon intelligence and sensuality not often found in the male of any species.

I chose mine because we all have our own code of honor to live up to, 71, because it's my birth year, and XS from a novel a dear friend of mine wrote a few years back.

R.I.P. Nigel Findley,, I hope Argent and Dirk are keeping you safe in the Shadows man...
