I had six inches this morning…

I had eight inches several weeks ago and it lasted four hours days. It has wilted since, however, so I didn’t have to call a specialist as I managed to deal with all the white stuff myself.
How much of the white stuff did you swallow?

Snow? Nope. The weather service says it's going to be wetter and warmer than normal here, so we probably won't see any this year.

BUT what we have had is rain. We have been hit by an atmospheric river coming in from the South Pacific and another will arrive today. All the major rivers have set records for flood levels. Some communities are underwater.

I got a text from my mom a few nights ago saying that they're sheltering in place and in no danger from the water.

Thanks for reminding me to check up on her again, I'm so bad at remembering to contact people myself.

No snow here. Although the temps at night have occasionally dipped below freezing. We don't typically get snow until around the new years though, and then as often as not it's an ice storm.

Yes, but have you ever tried soaking fresh pineapple in salt water? It's delicious. Even better if it's seawater from what I've been told.
Hi kiddy cat avatar
Pineapples and saltwater. 🤔

My particular county has a ton of dirt roads, so any significant snow turns this area into a Mad Max anarchy state lol.

Oh, yeah. Red mud, too, most likely. Stains everything. South Georgia trivia - when we lived there 30+ years ago there is (or was) a county near or on the Florida line with no paved roads.

The relative lack of paved roads in the region and the resulting muck when it rained even just a little completely explains the jacked-up pickup truck phenomenon. "Let's go muddin'!" Like they had a choice.

My wife grew up where we live (I lived in more populated corners of GA), and its only claim to "fame" was having a giant mud park that had concerts.

It may have been tongue-in-cheek @EmilyMillar, but just note for future reference that I am having the mental image of you having six unspecified inches each and every time I open up the AH. Which is a lot...

It also hasn't snowed where I am, which isn't helping matters.

The six inches, or the times you open up the AH?
