And the water clarity is about as good as any lake around. Not sure how the recnet rains may have changed that. I think further out it should be ok. The water temps should be ok as well. Albeit cooler than usual due to this area not having those 100 plus days we usually do. But I do have a wetsuit and full dive gear. Along with an ugly stick and some monofilament :) I can do some SERIOUS damage with a Hoola Popper:)

I've always wanted to fish that lake. Is there good camping facilities?

I'm going to Clarks Hill this weekend (ok, Lake Thurmond to you South Carolinians). Going to try for hybrid and stripers.

You need a better rod than an Ugly Stick, though. You know where you can get one, with your name on it. :)

I caught 14 pounds of bass last night, just 3 fish. The biggest was over 6 pounds. Got that one on a buzz bait. Next time I go to that little lake, I'll try a Hula Popper, in your honor.

Yes, sadly we don't age backwards. I'd like to do some of my life over with the knowledge I have now. I'd be 90% certain to have a better existence.

Chartreusse. Not sure how the heck ya spell it but right now that's the color to go with. I just PERK at the thought of ever owning a custom rod with my name on it. That would be sweet ! Sounds like you where spot on with fishing last night ! I'm heading out diving/fishing tomorrow with my Dad, Brother and Nephew. Can't wait. I need some down time and family time.

SERENE, being an ash blonde, I have almost no (visible) gray in my head, even at nearly 54. However, my goatee has a bit of blonde, red and a fair amount of gray (I was born a ginger)

I have been told that redheads color fades and they turn gray sooner. I bet the combination of your head hair and goatee is a smashing one. :)
 
As I said, born a ginger. It didn't last hon, I've been blonde since I was around 5 and now a brownish-blonde shade (blonder in summer). Beards tend to come in in your original shades.

So no gray on my (very full) head of hair. Clean-shaven, I don't look my age and many say I don't look it now.
