While I totally understand and can almost agree with the sentiment, the only problem is that we ALL get fucked in the process. By the time everyone has realized how bad it’s gotten, it will take years and likely decades to undo the damage.

But oh well. I guess everyone can enjoy going back to seedy adult bookstores and reading harlequin novels in the shadows.

I agree, but it’s kind of like… I can survive just fine. Financially, I’m probably going to thrive. It was the optimist in me that wanted the dems to win because there’s a part of me that really wants to believe in that “we are working towards a better future” vision. Star Trek, not Star Wars. But now that path is closed off, and so the vision must itself change.

Just checked, *not the politics forum*.

Chill people, just use a VPN. Bouncing my Texas surfing of whatever I want out of Canada with no issues. It isn't difficult.

Sure, but like… when politics invades the other spaces in your life, it’s hard not to care. VPN costs more money, so I’m forced to buy something I don’t need to buy.

There are plenty of free VPNs out there, if you don't look you won't find.

My personal favorite that I pay for is Proton because it comes with a suite of privacy centric apps.

Yeah, and those free VPNs all come with costs over time or trial periods or whatever…

It’s like, can we just say it sucks? Why are you defending this?

Not defending the stupid laws at all just pointing out very obvious and easy work around.

Now back to fun stuff to read about, there's a reason why I stay well away from any political boards.

I am in NC and it is the same here. I think it is a national rule for pornhub, xhamster and sex.com but some websites are not doing it. Certainly an invasion of privacy as I see it. I am 72yo and should be able to look at what I want to look at.
Glenn Youngkin did it to Virginia in 2022.

It doesn't matter what VPN you use paid or not. Eventually you will have to figure out how to configure it to do what it should already do just like the browser you had before.
Ultimately, the state or country we live in should not be running a proxy on our internet access. They could offer one. Similar to parental controls.
But no. It is beyond the internet. Remember as a kid watching HBO? Did you parents Know everything you watched? Now you can't see a pretty titty, butt or even a peek at a bush. Only flaccid members with way too much hair. I'd like normal sex to come back to movies more than extreme porn on the internet.
