I'm thinking about a tattoo...

Never said:
I don't want to sound flip but...
What is the appeal of a tattoo?

My own thoughts on tattoos are they are a piece of artwork that is the lowest level, without that they are pointless unless you are having one i.e. to profess your ownership perhaps as I am considering for my lady.

Plus I have had 2 done in the last year after a break of 28 years, now I am looking for a good design for my back or maybe my chest if it doesn't interfere with my pacemaker :D

Then again it could even be a midlife crisis :D

Congratulations Willow

tattoo's just add to one's personality;

just thought i would add my opinion ( or asshole) since everyone has one

and they do make for a good conversation piece ; or for good pick up tactics

i have a few tatoos

none of them really hurt for me
but that's just me
i have a very high pain tolerance
lets just say that when i broke my wrist, it didn't exactly start to hurt until 8 or 9 hours later.

as for the tattoos
i hear that for the lower back it doesnt hurt
as for me i got them on my upper calves
it starts to hurt a little around the back part of your knee

and if you ever have to touch up your tatoo (like i did) just remember....it hurts twice as much so never ever put polysporin on it and don't pick the scab

if you have to make another scab where you can pick at while the tat is healing. luckily for me i cut my knee two days before i redid one of my tats.

I had a large tattoo done on my lower back (see attachment if you like) and don't remember it being particularly painful. The outlining produced a fairly sharp pain when it crossed my spine but nothing near unbearable.

The shading and color really weren't uncomfortable at all. Though after a while (this took three hours) I did get a little sore where most of the work was being done.
