I don't know you, and I looked at this thread out of curiosity. I rarely look at the photos here on Lit because many lack artistic merit. However, my photographer's eye can't help but appreciate this photo. The framing. The black and white. The light. I love it. If this is what you usually post here, I, as a photographer, will greatly appreciate it. Congratulations on this magnificent photo! 😍

It is the east, and JaF is enjoying the sun.”

If you had turned the other way, we’d be enjoying the moon. ;)

Thank ya kindly, but you might be surprised with what you can find on other pic threads.. just saying, you should delve deeper than an occasional glance. And I blame the framing on one photography class back in high school and far too many B&W films while growing up. 😁

Just a note- thank you all. My body is exhausted and I'm getting close to being mentally/emotionally spent, so the kind words have been a balm to a weary soul.

Not specifically looking for photos, I never tried to do more than a quick glance. And the few photos I did see lacked that artistic quality (except for those of just one person), so I never bothered to look any further. I think it's more important to find people who make an effort with the artistic side of things rather than using them as a pretext to promote a sex (male or female), which doesn't interest me at all 😉
I'm truly delighted that your photography courses are still useful to you today, allowing you to share such beautiful photos with us. I'm looking forward to seeing more 😍😘

Not a portfolio. Just a vain attempt at expression and creativity in an otherwise stagnant life.

I'm better off behind the camera, setting up shots and flattering angles for others. Would you want me to take your photo instead? 😏 I can be quite professional when it's needed.
