I prefer clean shaven. A patch over the pubic bone is fine, but I'm a long haul oral giver...and prefer the bits below to be smooth. That said, I'd rather deal with hair than a three day old shave.

I don't think any particular way is good or bad -- just personal preferences. I will admit that keeping completely bare, smooth and silky can be a maintenance commitment that I don't always enjoy.
