Were reservists activated when Covid was at it’s worst?

It was a mixture of regular soldiers and volunteer reservists. They had put up a webpage where reservists could apply for volunteer service, but it was taken down after a few hours because they had enough applicants. That’s a great idea, asking for volunteers. In Austria all reservists were put on a 24h notice, but they ended up just using the local ones where it was needed.
The armed forces helped some here, mostly with transports.
Now we are scratching our heads here, trying to figure out where the cutoff age might be, who might get called etc if things escalate.

Task today: dusting off my combat boots, in case the German defense minister really activates the reservists. I got a (metaphorical) golden train ticket handed when I got my assignment to the reservists that allows me to use all trains free of charge in case reservists are drafted. Whenever I saw it in my drawer, I felt kinda sad that I couldn't use it, considering that the civil version of it costs 4000 Euros.

Right now the biggest threat are some loose roofing tiles falling down and slaying me. The storm last week did some (minor) damage to my roof, the bigger problem is getting a roofer to fix it. The last one said their company can fix 4-6 roofs per day - and I'm #160 on their list. Thursday a roofer said he would come by Friday - but he was a no-show.
