Japanese women can look much younger than their Western sisters. I'm not saying that they are too young but that they look too young. I don't think they actually are too young.
They're still decades too young for an ancient like me...
Some Japanese erotica would be considered paedophilia in the UK. I have no objection to adult Japamese women dressing up for cosplay, or pretending to be schoolgirls, but part of Japanese male culture has a tendency to wanting sexual pictures of much younger teens than would be allowed here.

When Ogg was young (but of Lit-legal age), my parents' next door neighbours were a succession of young Japanese bankers and their wives.
The husbands were on a three months' course learning Western Banking practices. The wives were at a loss in a country where they didn't speak the language, and all the household equipment was labelled in English.
My mother, sometimes my father, and more often Ogg, used to help out when the Japanese lady was at a loss. My mother would take them shopping.
It was frustrating. Next door was a succession of delightful Japanese MILFs who were grateful to us (and me) for any help to enable them to run an English home efficiently for their husbands. But I always behaved like a gentleman...

Also, they do look young, but it's really hard to tell with Japanese women. If anyone has actual proof that the models in these pics are under age, I will remove them immediately.

My best friend is Korean, and she is always puzzled at the various myths about Asian women, including the idea that Asian women look younger. She would tell you that it is true that they don't go gray as early as we Americans, but other than that, she insists an Asian teenager looks like a teenager. Also, tanning, smoking, and eating high fat diets are not popular with Asian women, so maybe it's not that Asian women look younger, maybe we American women look older.
But none of this makes her angry, just puzzled. If a guy wants to make her angry, his best bet is to walk up to the two of us and ask me, "Hey! Who is your Asian friend?" If you can make it into her good graces after that, you can probably achieve world peace.

I had no desire to "drop it on your head," but you said Asian women would not go for you. I was just trying to point out that such a distinction is what causes ill feelings.

Asian, Japanese, American, Greek or whatever - women are people first.
If you think of them as individuals that it might be nice to get to know, that is more likely to get a reasonable response than by thinking of them as a group.
I'm not concerned whether a woman is blonde, brunette, redheaded, or any other physical characteristic.
The real questions are:
"Do I enjoy being with her?"
"Does she seem to enjoy being with me?"
If the answers to both questions are "Yes", then something might develop if only friendship.

You might enjoy The Asian Mystique, as well. It's about Western, especially American, perceptions of Asians, especially East Asian women. It was an eye-opener for me, but I greatly enjoyed it. It's by Sheridan Prasso. Should be able to find it at your local library or bookstore.
