Dearest jen:
I want to apologize for what seems to have been a terrible misunderstanding. First, though, I want to assure you that you have done nothing wrong at all, and that no one is going to leave you, okay?
Things in the outside world have interfered with my time here over the past couple of days, and I've ended up being forced to neglect you. While that's not my fault, it is also not your fault, and you've done nothing wrong to cause me to be neglecting you. In the future, I will do my very best not to let that happen again.
Last night, when I gave you permission to take the night off, that meant exactly what it sounded like: You were free to pursue whatever fun you may have chosen to pursue, with whomever you chose to pursue it. I don't have any issues or problems with you playing with the person you chose to play with last night. While your time off may not be frequent, when it is granted to you, that time is yours to do with as you please.
I'm very sorry if this misunderstanding has upset you, jen. While it is our job to enforce strict discipline on you, it is not our intent to make you feel bad about yourself. The intent it to help you learn to feel good about yourself, by helping you to be who and what you wish to be.
So, to make this up to you, I have decided to put any impending punishment aside. I hope that you won't do anything in the future to earn more punishment, but if you do, we we'll deal with that then. For now, I would like you to resume your normal duties, and we will continue with your training as we were before this happened.
As one more offering to try and let you know how important you are to us, I hope that you'll accept this small gift. Usually, a submissive must work hard to earn this particular type of gift, but in this case, I think we'll go ahead and give this to you now. A collar is symbolic as well as practical, jen. On one hand, it can be used quite literally to keep you on a short leash. On the other side, it is a visible sign that you are the submissive property of the person who gave it to you.
I hope that you will wear this collar with the pride and respect that it deserves.
