Just Jess...

Some terrible things were said to me yesterday, and they made me feel insecure. I've worked too hard on owning my body and being confident. So here is a pic I was not planning on posting because it highlights my least favorite feature. I'm sure there are plenty who think I'm fat and disgusting. Well, it's nothing I haven't already thought about myself. View attachment 2239045
It is a shame that people feel the need to spew hateful things. There are plenty of us here who can lift you up and help be the confident person you want to be. If nothing else, I can spam you PMs everyday telling you how beautiful and confident you are and anyone who thinks differently just needs to move on and not look.

😂 Thank you so much for the offer. I love you guys. Posting that was more just my way of mentally shutting that shit down and not letting it take up residence in my head.

Nothing like a good old vent to clear the old noggin, that is very healthy. I find talking it out in a lonely car driving down the highway works for me. I might look crazy to others but I honestly DGAF.

Hey guys. My husband, @GessoOfJess, passed away unexpectedly this morning. He'd recently had his second leg amputated and had been battling health issues for years. We just celebrated our 20 year anniversary in February. He was 43. He was so supportive of my journey here on lit and it was wonderful to have him be a part of it for the short time he was active here with me.

He had ordered some pretty things for me that he wanted to take pictures of me in. They got lost in transit, and of course, arrived this afternoon. I'll post pics of his beautiful choices soon.

So many of you were so supportive of me while I acted as caregiver, and you made getting through the last couple of months so much easier than when I was alone.

I called him my gesso. Gesso is canvas primer for artists. He primed the world for me and made it livable. He was my best friend and soulmate. Every day will be harder without being able to hug him and hear his voice.

Sorry for your loss. 💔 The same thing happened when my wife passed without warning, she hadn't been ill. That was 20 years ago this year. I’m in my early fifties now. If you want to chat please message me. ❤️

So sorry to hear this.

Jess, you know you've got my full support during this horrible time, but I've got a bone to pick with you... you never told me Gesso was a fellow AEW fan!

Just when I thought I couldn't like him any more for loving snd supporting you so much, he has one last surprise. He'll always live on in you, his beautiful and talented wife, and never be forgotten!
