Just sayin'...

:(

I think of this often.

And yet, it can also be a blessing. Being mindful of loss, opens the way for joy at being so lucky to have that love, or friendship, for this day. I have come to believe it is better to have loved and lost that love, than to never have experienced it at all. Loss sobers me to the realities of what is...and hopefully teaches me to not waste those precious moments life brings my way. And yet, the pain of loss always remains...but it becomes more embraceable—a thankful pain, reminding me of the gift I was allowed to have for a season.

I am one of the lucky ones. I had a big, big love. The unconditional kind. He was generous with his love.:heart:

Definitely a blessing.

Me too...and I'm thankful every day. Life is such a wonder, a mystery that is beyond my comprehension. I really do think, for the most part, we are the ones in charge of our own happiness and fulfillment. Recognizing life's many gifts, such as unconditional love, is the key. Yes, sadness and discontent visit...but they are not welcome to stay long.
