I did a wee bit a few years back, using sounds I bought on Ebay, I think. It was enjoyable, but not a real turn on, at least as a solo activity. Shank is the Man on this. He's got a lengthy post on here that really gets into the details on sounding.

I stopped using them because I really didn't know what I was doing, and I had no way to sterilize my sounds. Wash, disinfect yes, but not sterilize. Wasn't worth it to me.
