In my late teens I was seeing a man who was almost 40 for a few months, about 21 years difference. I had always gone older, I still have never been with a man my junior, but he was older than I had ever considered. Technically, more than twice my age. I had a rule about staying out of my parents age bracket. That was the line. I ended up changing the rule to no one older than my dad (my mom was young, she had set the bar too low) I had no intention of going there when I met him (work), but he was good looking, and funny, and as I got to know him, I started finding him attractive, so I changed my rule, and made a move. And yes, sometimes.

+/- 2 years. My first sexual partner was 2 years older than me. My current lover is 2 years younger. Every other partner has fit in that narrow bracket. I am in my 50's now and generally still seek partners around my age. It is about generational compatibility, common experiences, etc. My guess is I would struggle finding common ground, and therefore long term sexual compatibility, with anyone more than +/- 10 years away from my age.

Youngest was 31 years younger than me....Surprised me, but I know it was GOOD for both of us....Glad she lived far away from me, or it could have gotten messy. She wanted to continue, but I really wasn't interested in a long term situation. Especially since I was seeing a woman 11 years younger than me at the time...
