Great link, Cord. Don't you just love optimistic people?

The position or site of the structure will draw visitors to the very center of the town, which will help to support the businesses on Main Street and throughout the central business district including adjacent cities and towns. The structure will provide the stimulus to draw thousands of visitors and provide income and prosperity to the state, county, community and area businesses.

The structure, similar to the Eiffel Tower in Paris and the Space Needle in Seattle, Washington, will provide worldwide interest and positive publicity for the City of Soap Lake, Grant County and the State of Washington.

giant lava lamp

Wow! Fantastic link!!! But I thought of a possible problem with this giant lamp, which is that they won't be able to keep it lit all the time unless they want to screw up the stuff inside of it. At least, with normal sized lava lamps, you're supposed to turn them off after so many hours of use. That would mean they'd have to turn off the lamp every so often. And then every time they'd turn it on it would take a while for it to warm up and start bubbling. Hm.......
