Actually, this is a subject I'm quite serious about, and I wish I had the words to describe it. It's not the kind of thing that lends itself to verbal deconstruction.

The transformation of pain to pleasure, of degradation to exaltation... is a wonderful thing. Religious, almost. Think of the agony of the cross, of Christians drinking the blood of Christ.

Secularizing sex is a terrible mistake.
