I wrote this for myself some years back, sorry it is rather long...

I HAVE BEEN THINKING ABOUT WHY I LIKE LESBIAN-THEMED FEMALE HOMOSEXUAL EROTICA, IMAGES AND STORIES. I mean the kind we see here on Lit. Not necessarily just dyed-in-the-wool lesbians per se, but just two women together. I realize the underlying reason may have psychological roots or perhaps just the taboo aspect. But the feelings that I get are more that the ladies are so enjoying themselves. They are making love as a matter of choice, rather than being driven by a residual urge to propagate/copulate to produce offspring.

There is no issue of pregnancy, either real or fancied. There is just the sheer pleasure of enjoying each other’s person, bodies & sexual response. Usually the stories and depictions are very tender and caring toward her girl partner; maybe that is what I am missing in my life: the tenderness (nurturing?). Almost as if the sex is more…what, pure? More authentic? More sensual?

A part of it could be that a woman, being a woman herself, is more in tune with what will turn on another woman. Men…well, a lot of us are pretty ignorant. Penis Uber Alles. 😊

I think that, for a lot of guys, the allure is that there isn't another guy in the room to compete with or be compared to.
