I see each of these similar actions by traditional republican luminaries as giving their blessing for rank and file traditional republicans to vote for the Harris / Walz ticket.

I hope it clears enough consciences of the rank and file traditional republicans to make a significant difference in the election, and help offset the far left wing uncommitted defectors.
