I used to write a bit about SEX stories vs. stories which
involve sex. I'm not sure that people always react
negatively when they see a story which involves a lot of
plot development compared to the amount of sex.
Certainly, one of the most popular stories on ASSM was
a science-fictionish tale of meteor colision. It had sex,
but no more than a regular novel. For a while, the ASS
group was filled with discussion on the sevelopmen of the
various small societies of survivors.

Consider the fact, though, that people who look for a story in a fantasy or sci-fi category are expecting to see more story vs. sex. A person clicking on a story in, say, the incest, lesbian, or erotic coupling category is more likely looking more for the wham-bam-thank you ma'am type of plot.
