Ever heard of a Welsh band from Wales in the UK called Catalonia? From back in the 90s!
Lead singer is called Cerys - she is Welsh - obviously. She has an amazing voice. Fascinating range of songs.
I’d do anything for that voice and her!
Personal favourite of theirs - Dead From The Waist Down. Often when I’m a little low, feeling the weight of life a bit…

Not my all time favourite band - would be hard pushed to choose just one with my eclectic taste!
Anyway - poignant lyrics in this song too.

If you would have given me the 70s as the decade the mystery band formed, I might have nailed it on the first try!!!

The Eagles were almost too polished. I saw them in concert and they were like automatons. Conversely: I saw Van Halen in concert at their peak, with DLR leaping off platforms, and the whole band in rare (raw) form, and to this day it was the best show I ever saw (The Who in concert was close - maybe a tie).

This is about as "girly girl" voice as I can take:

Oddly enough, I really liked / like that song, when I usually prefer grittier songs with stronger, grittier voices.

It does its job when I need it,
I could not survive without music - whatever my mood or motivation there is a band or song that I have in a playlist somewhere.
I love discovering new sounds…

The Coke version is Sprite yes. I prefer Coke to Pepsi. I like 7Up a smidge more than Sprite.

Where I grew up, everything was a "coke" (except Sprite). We even would say "an orange coke," foe I was reared in an age when orange soda was quite the popular item.

I share your preference for 7Up over sprite, especially Cherry 7Up which got me with their ridiculously romantic ads .

On a related note, for reasons that were never made clear to me, my maternal father had a bunch of 7Up branded furniture items in his front room when I was a child. I loved sitting at the small table covered with 7up mascots and sitting in a 7up chair.

I love this song. It's about Chris Cornell from Soundgarden. Taylor Momson was the last person to see him alive. This song, especially her voice and emotion, gives me chills.
