I’m sure people felt the same way, not all that long ago, about many of the words we use very commonly today. Words like “fuck”, to use the obvious example or “slut”.., a term of pride, these days, apparently.., and, you know, that’s okay in the right place and time. Always has been and always will be.
I do try to “mix it up” a little, at times but mean no “offence” (and I “cringe” to have to say that!!).
But, yes, I too have a sense that civil society is in decline, perhaps terminally, and open displays of degeneracy are rampant and, apparently, to be “celebrated” ,so oddly enough, I’m with you there and I, “sigh”, too..
