Sad news to report

For those of you who were here in the very early days of this board, I am sad to tell you that the man who posted here by the name James Blandings died a few weeks ago from a pulmonary embolism.He was a moderator here back in the day.

I wasn't sure if he would want me to put a notice here. When he left he left for good. But, when he was here, he loved this joint and put his soul into helping people here.

If you remember me at all, I was the tough litle bitch of the board. Well, this tough little bitch has a broken heart.

He was my best friend and the best person I ever met in my life. When I was young loud and snotty, as they say, and thought I knew all the deals, he took me in and taught me the REAL deal, not just about Bdsm but about life. He got me out of trouble more times than I can count. He got me into trouble a few times too, but that's what friends are for, I guess. People used to make jokes that he tamed me. He would tell them that he pulled a thorn out of my paw when I was a pup. Hahaha.

I wish I had been there at the end, but it happened all of a sudden. At least he was with the love of his life, who some may remember as Mistress Respendent Cybele. And I introduced them, so I got that on my balance sheet.

If you didn't know him, do yourself a favor and look up some of his old posts. Dude knew fucking everything about Bdsm.

He liked Guinness, so if you knew him, knock one back and remember.

I'm not sure if she still does, but Risia used to check in on the thread she started and is now a closed sticky, in the Main forum, New faces, come say hello...

Oh, since that thread is closed, you can't post there, but maybe she would still answer to a PM?

Funny...in '99 when the site came online everyone was just enthused that they had a place to land. Then the rooms became broader and the private rooms became public and it all became a blur.

The chat site was extremely busy and the BB was strictly for those who wanted to rant. In a way, the evolution of it all seems not for the better now...but understandable.

It's funny about Lit. I come by every few years and all of a sudden it's like no time has passed by.

Me and RS seem like Dr Who and River Song. Like we show up here at different times and leave messages to each other that we don't see until years later.

I just popped in because I got a private message about Wildrose70 passing away. Now I read your post (yeah I am late), and I find that James Blandings has passed away. I just had a birthday, and turned 64 so I am kind of sensitive to the age issue these days. I am sorry for your loss (and mind too if the truth be known.)

You and I have had some misunderstandings, but I have always respected and enjoyed your wisdom. Life is too short, and quite frankly I can't even remember what we differed about.

I hope things are going well for you, I am doing fine, but still stuck in Connecticut!

I also forgot to say Hi to everyone else! Hi DVS, Siir Winston, Kayte, Miss Diva and all the others who pop in. I have not been on this site since 2010. I rarely have time to post places anymore, and with family and friends dropping like flies I have decided to live life life more (ya never know).
 
Hi, EB! It's nice to see you are still kicking balls. And yes, I'm still glad that they aren't mine, so get that out of your head. I'm getting up there in age, too, so I understand where your mind is on that. The old regulars are slowly leaving us.

I've had times when I was more active here than others, but I guess I've never left for any real length of time. It helps to have the same email address for the long term. It's so difficult to keep up with things as it is and if you have to keep changing the way people connect with you, some get lost in the process.
