He is too old for this
as am I, our hair
now white and grey,
respectively.

But here we are and
though his fingers may
not be as nimble as they
once were they’re still
pretty good.

The old songs bring up
memories, is it really
thirty years or more?
Then they move to new stuff
instrumental, somewhere between
pretentious and profound
jazz and new age.

But they never play
If I had a Rocket Launcher
though it echos in my mind.
