Locker room erections

In my experience, men are usually rather more shy of showing their bodies to a woman, especially if they are younger. Men do seem more at home being naked in front of other males, possibly because the culture at school here in the UK involves, or certainly did involve, communal changing rooms and showers before and after sport.

Going to an all-boys school taught you many things about naked boys or men in the locker room. We were all the same sex. We all had penis’, balls and hair on our bodies. Some of us had more hair than others, some had a big penis, medium or small. What it taught us is that we are all boys becoming men, and there are many differences. Why make fun of someone when it was so easy for someone to make fun of you eventually?

As an adult going to a public gym, I’ve seen guys walking around with a half-erect or fully erect penis. We are older and supposedly more mature, so no one really says anything. It’s just one of those things that happens. Are there gay guys in the locker room? I’m sure there are, and they enjoy the view. I’m not gay, but I’ve looked at other guys' erect penises; many were looking at and comparing. Mostly, my penis was flaccid and stayed that way. I couldn't care less about what someone in the locker room saw or said about me. I was there to work out, swim, shower, and get dressed to go home or back to work for a meeting.
Define young. I was super happy to be naked when I was young. As I got older before I was actually with a woman sensually, or even after I got to second base, I was a bit shy. I remember being feeling embarrassed at the doctors office. I was so retracted all's that was there was my head and little balls. The doctor was nice and explained it away. The nurse was smiling but in her wonderful southern accent said it was cute. That part of the visit was finished and I pulled my underwear back up. I wanted to show them again because I was fully erect. I couldn't wait to get home and jerk off. Once out of college and picking my own doc's I didn't choose female for a while. Even though I wasn't bashful at all. Now I always look for a female doc.

I would define young as - being in the first or early stage of life or growth.

I can only generalise, and may have little or no relevance to you, but I recognise that many young men are often shy about their bodies due to a combination of societal pressures, unrealistic media portrayals, fear of judgment and comparison, and a general stigma against men discussing body image concerns.

Kids these days are a lot more averse to being seen naked than they were when I was a kid. Many of them are raised by parents who never let their kids see them naked and never let their kids be naked at home. They didn’t grow up being required to shower naked in open showers in school from elementary school on. Or in scout camp, before and after swimming in public pools, and they didn’t skinny-dip with friends. So it should be no surprise that many of them are not only uncomfortable with others seeing those parts of them, but they’re terrified.

If we are totally honest, most kids have teased or mocked someone without recognising how that person feels and how it affects them as they grow older.

It could also be modesty or embarrassment. I was for a little while, then it didn't bother me anymore. We all have the same parts.

Most of the guys I've encountered just get showered and dressed. I don't hide my genitals from other guys, cause I don't care if they see my penis. We all have one, just in different sizes.
