I felt the same way, but what are we to do? Obviously, you're weren't the U.S. judge. LOL
Personally, I'm hoping that on the next competition, you are asked. Your critiques and observations prove to be impartial. Stop making a stink. You want to be asked, dontcha?
LOL. I know I'm shouting. I hope I didn't spit on anyone.
No, I wasn't the U.S. judge. LOL.
If I am asked to judge the next round of the Olympics, no one will know, because UP prefers anonymous judges. I'd be honored to be one, of course, because I'd take it to mean that UP values my critiques. And thank you for your comment about my impartiality. I'm sure my biases get in there from time to time, but I try to keep them out.
If I'm making a stink, I'm sorry. Stop feeding me beans and Sangria!
The American judge has contacted me via anonymous feedback. While I was glad to hear from him/her, I found the reasoning to be unsubstantial.
However, Smithpeter has asked me to desist in my foot-stomping and ruckus-making (my words, not his.) So I'll be quiet now about this only because he asked me.
Is it a secret what the U.S. judge told you? I'm curious why he gave smithpeter such low scores. I love that guy's poetry. I haven't read anything of his that was, in my opinion, below a 4.
