Mischief Makers - Reborn

Wanders back in and resumes massaging Angel's shoulders. "Sorry for abandoning my self appointed duty earlier, real life called. Now after an adventure to sam's club my freezer is full and my wallet is lighter."

A smile and a nod to Lupine, "Welcome. Always good to see a new face. Why still just a guest? Still testing the waters?"

Mmmmmm, feels good *relaxing under the gentle pressure*

No worries, I figured something was up. Ended up having a quiet day today thanks to all the rain we've been getting.

*lips twitch into a small, self conscious smile*

Nah, I'm pretty consistent with my interests... trust me.

Thank you sir...yes, still figuring out how all this works...I've been reading and peering in at the forums from the outside for a while, wanted to get my feet wet, so to speak.

Yep, still trying to figure out how all this works....getting my feet wet, so to speak.

You may want to tread carefully. Is easy to lose yourself in the various forums and down the plethora of rabbit holes.

Not as bad as my early EQ days, but close.

That's why I'm sticking to right here for now until I get this all figured out...you and Glad seem like welcoming people, so... :D

What a polite way of saying someone has a tendency to ramble on, but I agree about Glad. I think he's the unofficial welcome committee of one for the SRP Forum.

*Chuckles* Rambling is most definitely not a bad thing...as I've said, I've been peering in from the outside for a while, and what I've seen from you and yours makes me comfortable :) I'm just glad I've encountered kind people here.

*grins*

Pretty sure I raise rambling to an artform, but what can you do...

I'd say the majority of the people here are very welcoming. Have only encountered a few who were... less so.

*Laughs softly*

If I may say so, I enjoy your rambling, so if it's an art form, so much the better.

*cheeks pinkening*

Ah, another silver tongued devil... you've tipped your hand I fear. ;)

So are you looking to simply peruse the various SRP threads or will you eventually try writing something yourself? I know I simply read for the first year before I decided to dip my toes in the water.

As of right now I am reading and perusing the threads...I may try my hand at writing something of my own eventually.

*grins a little* I do try to be as genuine as I can, even here, especially when I find someone worth knowing ;)

Pretty sure there's something from everyone here, so enjoy the perusing. If you do decide to try your hand at writing (assuming it's a rp or something), you'll want to create a profile in the first thread in the Lounge. Helps people know what your likes / dislikes are.

*taps her index finger on her doodle pad*

I'm working on some ideas of my own, although the latest ones are being difficult to tease out of my brain and onto paper for some reason. I hate it when I can visualize something so clearly in my mind's eye, but can't get the right words to come out.

What are you visualizing, in general?

*Grins a little sheepishly*

Yes, I'm curious...

*sighs*

If I could explain them, then they'd already be captured in my doodle pad, silly.

Most have been pretty dark... for my standards anyway. Assume it's just a passing thing as I'm normally better situated for laughter and sassiness.

Its best to take you time this place can be overwhelming. Or you just dive in as I did... but that was a long time ago."
Laughs a little at Angel's words, "you really see me as the unofficial welcoming committee?" A grin, "I do try, I'm one of the few real long term members left. Not that I don't come and go myself real life will do that, but I always seem to come back. There's either something about this place or I'm an addict, some days I'm not sure which."
Hands slide under her hair to reach her neck. "Not sure I needed 4 pounds of pulled pork, but I've got it."

*smiles*

Yes, I'd agree with that last bit, you're always entertaining to read.

Good luck, and if there's anything I can do to help, just ask, I'm more than willing.

*sighs blissfully as Glad works at the kinks in her neck*

Yes I do... but as you said, so many of the "old timers" have left so it seems like it's just you although I assume CG is as gracious as ever with people popping into his place.

*her lips twitch at his comment about 4 lbs of pulled pork but she decides to refrain from commenting*

Thankee, LupineOne. I'll definitely keep that in mind. :cattail:

Yep I always thought you and I would do well writing a story that was highly based on dialogue because we seem to have that kind of humor chemistry together. Not sure the story we're starting will be that type of story, but you never know.

You're more than welcome Angel :D

*Settles back to watch the entertaining exchange*

Heavy dialogue can be tricky though for the "longer" posts that I typically write, which means I need to be less rambling.

However, if I could do it with HF, I reckon we'd be able to pull it off.

And yeah, I'm thinking this first one might not have too much humor (at least in the beginning).

And LupineOne... I don't like people watching (well not here in MM). No reason to slink to the background here. :p

A truly dialogue based RP is a beautiful thing but its a completely different kind of story and yes does have short back and forth posts, you can work it into long posts though as well it just takes more work. And please don't be less wordy I need details, I need someone to push me to challenge myself and make me want to continue the story."
"You know CG, he has a group of us that are there daily and that's what he truly loves is visitors every day to the inn, for it takes life from its patrons. Though he and I have not always seen eye throughout the years he is definitely a hallmark of this place, been here far longer than I and with a post count that makes mine look tiny."

Gives her a swat on the shoulder even though she didn't say anything about the pulled pork, he knows her.

"Thanks for putting up the intro m'dear, I will write soon, not necessarily tonight as its getting late but Nicholas came easily to me when I wrote him a month ago, was sorry to see that thread die and so will enjoy writing a different version of him again."

*Laughs* Fair enough...I really am looking forward to seeing what new ideas manage to escape your brain :D
