NEW: Personals Forum split into 2 forums!

I don't have a problem with the split in general. I think it is a good idea to stop the complaints.

I just don't understand why half the directories are in one section and half in another.

Laurel and Manu probably can't tell where the directory threads really should go. Do you prefer them all in the discussion area or do you like them split as they are?

It's no big deal about the change, the friendships that have been formed will no doubt continue to hold strong, which is the important aspect, and the discussion threads are still going to be as entertaining as ever, no matter how the Board has been divided.

Please, please, please, go beat up the bulletin board supplier for this change.

How to get rid of the emails:

1) Go to User CP pick options and click "no" where it says "Allow email notification by default" then submit changes.

Here's the fun part.

2) Go to every post you've ever made and edit them. You'll notice that down at the bottom of every text input box there's a list of four things with radio buttons. The second one down says "EMAIL NOTIFICATION: emails sent to you whenever someone replies. Only registered users are eligible." Click the checkmark out of the box and save changes.

A little hint, just edit all of your posts on the threads that get you email.

Painful, but it will get rid of the email problem.

If you're subscribed to threads then you're going to get email.

thank you - i like it - personally i got tired of all the "conversation" in the personals forum threads and found i was reading fewer and fewer of them - i think having a forum for the "conversations" is a great idea ~

I'm with you princess. I haven't been on her in probably a month, mainly because of the conversations going back and forth. To hard to find the true personals.

I think this change will make the boards more organized. There are a lot of threads in the personals that aren't personals. I agree with whoever said (can't remember after reading all the posts & am too lazy to go back & check ) that some threads in the personals belong on the General Boards. I can see how it would be tedious to have to read thru so many threads to find a true personal. I found it humorous that some threads were titled "This is a Real personal ad".

Anyways, I feel that true personals should stay in the personal section & all others should be moved. The personals should strictly remain Personals.

the being unsubscribed to threads thing.......that was

Yes, the personals are for ads.....very recently the Personals
section was split in two......one for Personal ads ONLY, and
the "other section" called "The Playground" which is where
you can find my Literotica Kitchen (aka the LOVE CAFE),
the Literotica Bar (hosted by Dragonette), and a bunch
of other goodies that aren't ads...but at the same time
you can meet new people too.
