What a coincidence - I'm a nurse and I love firefighters...
You guys win in all your gear - wowza...We both see humanity at its worst possible moments, and answer calls at all times of the day and night; we work long shifts and sleep at odd hours. We're also not considered (in many cases) to be "professionals" in the class of those who wear suits to work (like doctors, in our case). We're more of a blue collar crowd to many, getting dirty in the trenches. I think we have a lot in common in that regard.
