If you are the care provider at the end of your mum's life, expect the 'intimate' aspects of the parent/child relationship to be reversed. With luck, you'll be able to see and remember doing this as a privilege.

The parent /child relationship fades into the background ( at least in my situation) and you become just a man and woman. You find yourself doing anything to give aid and comfort.
