off topic - Expectations

Sorry, I got caught up in the enthusiasm.

I think if someone constantlynfails to live up to even the most basic expectations, either remove them for you life, or simply learn to accept them as they are, an impose zero expectations.

That is hardly in accordance with current societal practice. If someone fails to meet our expectations, we are supposed to flay them on Twitter, dox them and try in general to ruin their life, right? :rolleyes:
 
I think I'm usually too hard on myself, every mistake I remember like a small scar on my soul....

However, when it comes to other people, I guess the main source if disappointment is my not understanding their ability to get the nonsense that comes out of my mouth(it's so obvious in my head though ^^')
I guess you guys, having more experience, have figured some of it out, no ?

I usually enjoy understanding people's rationales, though I rarely succeed...
