Ok, youtube songs that fit your mood.

B.o.B. featuring Hayley Williams - Airplanes

"Can we pretend that Airplanes
In the night sky
Are like shooting stars
I could really use a wish right now, wish right now, wish right now

. . . .

So airplane airplane sorry I’m late
I’m on my way so don’t close that gate
If I don’t make that then I’ll switch my flight
And I’ll be right back at it by the end of the night"

GREAT song!

For some reason it reminded me of this one... maybe is just sharing starry thoughts. :)

Owl City - Fireflies

You're a falling star, You're the get away car.
You're the line in the sand when I go too far.
You're the swimming pool, on an August day.
And you're the perfect thing to say...

Michael Buble ~ Everything

Love this. It's one of my favorite songs of his. Being the lover of words that I am, I get excited when I come across a rarely used metaphor or, to my delight, one that I have never been introduced to before. ;)

It's a cold and it's a broken Halleluja -

I hadn't heard her version. Jeff Buckley's is still my favorite, followed by the difficult-to-find Brandi Carlile version, but this is beautiful.

ETA: Oops, responded before I saw rekane's comment. Agreed, rekane. I haven't seen Brandi in concert, but she did a live recording when in Tucson that the local radio would occasionally play when I lived there. Wish I could get my hands on it.

Perhaps this is not what you had in mind, but look what I found!
Brandi Carlile - Hallelujah, mp3 on Amazon
and a live version on youtube.

p.s. still evokes goosebumps.
p.p.s. I get to see her in concert soon with Ray Lamontagne. I am so excited!

Metaphors are candy. :)

This one makes me feel like I am floating in a fondue pot that is set to simmer.
