My daughter has multiple physical issues and just had surgery on her bowels. She is seven and in pull-ups...she was in panties for two straight days and was in heaven, we were all so excited...but as of yesterday...it is pull-ups again. :( She is heart-broken...we are very sad....but it is no longer a surgical issue...it is just getting her bowel regiment right...hard to explain to a little one.

I am so so sorry to hear that such a beautiful you and your precious little one are struggling with these challenges. As difficult as it must be for you all, I am relieved and reassured to know that she is in such strong and capable hands to help her on her path to wellness. Thank you for all that you do for her and her heart as her Mom, her friend, and her fellow compassionate human!

Some Black Moods...

Once I met a man who’s allure was purely intoxicating and everyone knew if they touched him it would be like Black Velvet, a magic like Elvis. However, he was caught in the spell of a Black Magic Woman and ohhhh she made him feel like a Black Dog with an itch that constantly needed a scratch.

He was certain she must feel the same. He didn’t worry about being wrapped in her mystical pull when his own appeal must hold her as well. He gave all he could and tried only to please her. It was the Black Eyed Gypsy who proved him wrong and his pride took a hell of a blow. How foolish he felt when the magic was broken and his shame made his love and his soul Fade to Black.

So he wanders around filled with rage at the world and he wants to Paint it Black. Time goes by so slowly and he can’t see the brightness only the Black and his sadness won’t allow him to be grateful instead. Until one day, standing on the sidewalk, he sees a Black Balloon and he’s drawn to the pale hand clasping the end. A Blackbird rises as he walks toward her. Years pass by and as he walks beside her she reaches for his hand and suddenly he smiles thinking about how long he roamed in darkness only to find himself Back in Black.
