I totally get what you're saying. When I was 19-20, my stepfather Charles encouraged me to have sex with as many men as I wanted to, and somewhat naturally that included him, and a few of his friends too. I find that it works best for the storyline if you think of your stories or episodes in a timeline and then pick and choose the events you may want to apply your mind to revisit. Perhaps it was a feeling you felt then? Try transferring that feeling to your readers.

Not an easy task, but the effort is worth it.
