This IS positive for me. I have standards. I took the long way home or I wouldn't have known about it at all (I mean I know where their "church" is). I have exactly zero friends that are vegetarian so far, however. I know two that don't eat pork.

Just relax and enjoy it. Afterwards you'll have a memory. It could be an interesting one, or a 'I'll never do that again' one, or 'That was a blast' one.

They were strange people to me. There were times I was trying to listen and just got lost in how slapped-together some of them were. No one could have been any less self-conscious. Some very beautiful work. I didn't even get to read mine. I might go back for my jacket.

They're reading at the library in two weeks. I should ask why I wouldn't go. I think it might have been a little awkward if I had turned up with a guest, but I'm glad I was there last night. I have time to do this and I wouldn't mind being a better writer? It's a skill people take for granted I suppose, although I wouldn't say anything. If I get bored I'll leave.
