In early nineties I was travelling with sister and her gymnastics team. Somehow nobody had noticed before the hotel we stayed was across the street from the Black Sea. I couldn't believe girls haven't swimwear packed, but anyway, they decided to buy those locally. Nobody of us knew the local language, but we didn't see that as problem as Russian seemed to suffice.

Long story short, once in water colour washed out of those one piece swimsuits, making them as transparent as nylons. Terrified the washed out colour could be allergic, they get rid of them completely. Wasn't there literally a city street along the beach those girls actually wouldn't mind, gymnasts aren't shy, but there was, and so it was my job to get their towels and meet them in shallow water for a quick emerge and wrap.

We never really understood had those be trick pieces indeed or just absurd low quality "sunbathing" costumes not supposed to ever get wet -- that was what was on the package as far we managed to understand later.
