Passing reference to naked children, advice needed

I have explained the reasons.

You can't count.

As I said, you appear unable to count. Until now, the only person I have insulted was @MiaBabe23.

Again, I explained the reason. As I said in an earlier post, I now have a way to avoid mentioning their state of dress.

I am not being defensive.
Regarding can’t count: I said “veiled insults” and “six times”. Since I’ve surpassed six, specially since I counted your three insult post just once, I’m happy to let others be the judge. You’ll clearly deny these were all veiled insults. No point counting on you to know when you e been beat.

One.
I am using them to set a scenario where casual nudity is the norm.

As should be clear from my OP, the whole point is to NOT break the rules, and the people who have responded have done so thoughtfully. They are not "bad people".

Two
EDIT: @MiaBabe23 I see that you have thought better of insulting a group of writers. That is something, but an apology is in order, so I am going to leave your words here until one is made.

Three
What insult? I have not insulted you, nor has anyone else.

What attempt to engage? You just posted an insult to everybody else in this thread. You could have made your point without doing so.

Four. Five and six but I’ll only count once.
One post and a few responses = "a considerable effort". No wonder your contribution to this is a single audio recording of someone's work.

I have reflected a lot on your comments and concluded that:
  • you could probably be offended by the weather forecast
  • you are unable to comprehend the English language accurately
  • only snowflakes people that they disagree with

Five
We should probably bring this discussion to a close.

I appreciate all your advice and respect all your opinions. When the draft is complete, I will have another look at how I communicate the presence of children in a commune where nudity is the norm.

As I said in the OP, I will not make any reference to them in connection with sexual activity (as per the content guidelines).

For those who groundlessly impute ill intent on my part: NOR DO I WISH TO IN ANY CIRCUMSTANCES.

Six (a twofer)
Sorry

Sorry, it seems there are some here who wish every author were 'holier than the pope' regarding Lit's content rules. The vehemence of their response has surprised me.

That said, I asked the question because I do not want to transgress the rules, and I will probably follow the advice of some of the more thoughtful responses above to make the references even less egregious.

Seven
No.

I agree. As I said, some people want 'holier than the pope' to be the standard.

I apologise, it appears that you can count, you just cannot identify insults accurately.

Apart from insulting @MiaBabe23, and later you, none of those are insults, veiled or otherwise.

Your effort in trying to "win" this argument is weird. Are you trying to hide something?

Only in this one topic. They're perfectly happy for stories to contain other illegal acts; such as murder, rape, arson, theft, kidnap....

No accusations were made, especially against any named individuals. There is a specific category for stories which have the core plot of kidnap/rape but it's very rare you'll see the level of condemnation when questions are asked about writing for that niche.
So who is “they” then? Focus! who is the they you mean?

Now, unless you make a sensible point, I see no further point in engaging with you.

I'm sorry if English isn't your first language, but I have already done that. I'm also sorry that this topic triggers you so badly. Have you tried therapy?

there’s clearly a “for” and “against” faction regarding naked children.

Writer and word builder, have fun.

I’m happy to say I’m against naked children, and murder, rape, kidnapping, and many other distasteful things. There is unfortunately a difficult slippery slope since others out there would find all erotica distasteful, so we all have to be careful judging all other types of erotica (except ours).

Good luck to you writer61. You are always right about everything, totally consistent, insult no one. Good luck to you and I will stop replying now.

If only you meant it.

Wrong again.
I am often right, but not always and will acknowledge when I am not.
I try to be consistent, but sometimes fail.
I do insult people, but only if, like you, they deserve it.

Oh, look, another out-of-context assumption. Don't impute fallacious motives to others to try to bolster your untenable position through false sympathy.

I also hope you're happy in your world. The one of absolute dichotomies, where children are born and subsequently bathe fully clothed.

Are you for, or against naked children in stories? It’s only fair you answer that.

it relates to my other posts.

But I’m here nonetheless. You both are contradicting yourselves, you don’t like being called out, and writer61, you clearly are unfamiliar with what a veiled insult is. You’re good at personal attacks and insults though. Please keep it up.
